Found in Clear Lake Iowa。 Terrific AAPI book, educational, fun, fascinating, and pretty。 I so want to celebrate this holiday, in fact I think it'd be a good one for everyone to celebrate, given the explanation of the 'why' in this little book。 Despite it being a board book, it even includes an author's note。 Highly recommended to all libraries and homeschooling coops。 I will look for more by the creators。 Found in Clear Lake Iowa。 Terrific AAPI book, educational, fun, fascinating, and pretty。 I so want to celebrate this holiday, in fact I think it'd be a good one for everyone to celebrate, given the explanation of the 'why' in this little book。 Despite it being a board book, it even includes an author's note。 Highly recommended to all libraries and homeschooling coops。 I will look for more by the creators。 。。。more

Festival of Colors is a bright board book that tells the story of Chintoo and Mintoo and their parents and friends as they prepare and gather for and celebrate the Indian festival of colors known as Holi。 The story makes me want to join in the celebration。

This is a bright and vibrant board book about Holi, the Hindi celebration of spring and good triumphing over evil。 The girls likened it to color runs that we have here in the spring or summer, which likely got their origins from this festival。

Knowing next to nothing about the holiday of Holi, it seems to be an exuberant festival of colors, community, and good over evil。 This book captures the fun and festivities in bright colors as well as an explanation of the Holi tradition。 Add it to the youngling's shelves。 Knowing next to nothing about the holiday of Holi, it seems to be an exuberant festival of colors, community, and good over evil。 This book captures the fun and festivities in bright colors as well as an explanation of the Holi tradition。 Add it to the youngling's shelves。 。。。more

“Holi is a festival of fresh starts。 And friendship。 And forgiveness。”I didn’t know the “chalk” was originally dried and pressed powdered flowers, that’s so cool!I did a bit of research - plants with skin benefits became synthetic dyes as the world industrialized, and now people are trying to be more eco-friendly and find non-toxic options, like what was originally used。
